School is out, and the camp season begins!  Send your camper off with the “right stuff”:  a wooden cross necklace, a book to read during quiet time (Skylark, Stealing Home, The Book Thief, The Boarding School Mysteries to name a few of our titles), a “guardian angel” to pin on a backpack, and note cards to write home.  We also have Bibles and Prayer Books.  While you are here, select a bilingual book for our Eastern Shore Latino Ministries.

For these very contentious times, the Parish Book Store has Anne Lamott’s newest book, Hallelujah Anyway: Rediscovering Mercy, in which she explains “the importance of mercy in our lives, the extraordinary power it can have if we are open to it, and the unexpected value of sharing it with others and with ourselves.”  We have other titles by Lamott as well.  While you are here, select a bilingual book for the Eastern Shore Latino Ministries.

As we edge closer to summer and its glorious bounty in our gardens, don’t forget to tend your own spiritual garden.  What better way than with Joyce Rupp’s latest book, Prayer Seeds: A Gathering of Blessings, Reflections and Poems for Spiritual Growth.  The Parish Book Store has other titles by Rupp: The Cup of Our Life: A Guide to Spiritual Growth and Fly While You Still Have Wings And Other Lessons My Resilient Mother Taught Me.  Come in and peruse our resources. And remember that we will soon have bi-lingual books available for purchase for our Latino sisters and brothers on the Eastern Shore.

Jesus asks, “Who do you say that I am?” The question has challenged believers, skeptics and scholars for ages.  David Limbaugh, in his book The True Jesus, goes to the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John to answer the question, presenting a unified account to lead the reader on a journey of faith.  Come see what other titles we have at the Parish Book Store to deepen your faith and inspire you.
